Playing With Marked

I’ve been playing with Marked for the past day and so far I’m enjoying it. From the websites:

Marked opens MultiMarkdown, Markdown, Text or HTML files and previews them as HTML documents. It watches the file for changes, updating the preview any time the file is saved.

It seems to work as advertised, given my limited playing time and I already think it’s worth the $3.99 price tag, if only for the convenience of knowing what things are going to look like. It comes with a few built-in stylesheets and you can add your own if that’s how you roll.

One thing I haven’t figured out is the welcome panel, which you see or not see depending on what you check in the Behavior tab of the Preference panel:

Marked Behavior Tab - Welcome panel

I have checked and unchecked, killed and re-run Marked, but I’ve yet to see a welcome screen. Which is fine as long as you know what you’re doing.

And, thankfully, this is one instance when I know what I’m doing.
