The Chicago Bears stand 3-0 in pre-season, carrying the best record to date. Their defense went an impressive three straight three-and-outs on Saturday, while the offense racked up an impressive 31 points during the first half against 49ers (1-2). The only first down the 49ers managed was on a 2-yard run following a Chicago punt-fark.
Meanwhile, San Diego (2-1) struggled against the Phoenix Cardinals (0-3), squeaking out a 33-31 victory. Proving somewhat weak against the blitz, the Chargers (while markedly improved on penalties) struggled to victory against the winless Cardinals.
Granted, it’s all pre-season and doesn’t matter. Da Bears need to be 100% when the face Da Bolts on opening day. Still, if this past weekend is any indication (and it likely is not), Chicago shouldn’t have too much trouble.
