2009 World Series Prediction

So, I nailed 50% on my last prediction. That still counts, right? No? Fine.

I freely admit that I have consistently, without any real basis, underestimated the Phillies. I really thought the Dodgers would win that series (and I don’t think being a fan influenced me that much). It was truly an instance of underestimating. The [...]

2009 Postseason Predictions – Review & Update

My first set of predictions weren’t too far off. The Red Sox’s loss to the Angels was my only miss. I thought the Red Sox would snap out of their season-end decline once they hit postseason, but the Angels seriously manhandled them on their way to the 3-0 sweep. Boston’s pitchers were [...]

2009 Postseason Predictions – Updated

Following are my 2009 postseason predictions (updated with notes of which team I’m rooting for). Take it for what it’s worth.

2009 Postseason Predictions

Following are my 2009 postseason predictions. Take it for what it’s worth.

October 2007: Update 3

Wow. Someone needed to tell the Yankees that this was it. They looked like crap.

October 2007: Update 2

Hey, how ’bout those Yankees? They actually looked like a baseball team last night. Well, most of them did. Jeter and Posada need to kick it into gear.

October 2007: Update 1

Los Angeles Angels at Boston Red Sox I wrote: I expect Boston to take this series. And they did.

Chicago Cubs [...]

October 2007: And So It Begins

October is finally here and the MLB is down to eight teams. Here are the line-ups and my mostly worthless predictions.

Yankees Take Sox

It took Clemens a few pitches to find his rhythm, and despite Schilling being downright deadly, the Yankees pulled though and won the series. Rivera in the 9th made the game more than a little tense. I think Gruber sums it up best:

Jesus Christ. Watching Rivera in the 9th was like watching Mitch [...]

Yankees Lackluster

The Yankees just didn’t seem into the game tonight, as the Blue Jays took them down 2 – 1.

Yankees Pull Even

Cabrera was hot. Clemens was damned near flawless.

Yankee Skank

Man, did the Yankees suck tonight or what? Dear God.
