2009 World Series Prediction

So, I nailed 50% on my last prediction. That still counts, right? No? Fine.

I freely admit that I have consistently, without any real basis, underestimated the Phillies. I really thought the Dodgers would win that series (and I don’t think being a fan influenced me that much). It was truly an instance of underestimating. The [...]

2009 Postseason Predictions – Review & Update

My first set of predictions weren’t too far off. The Red Sox’s loss to the Angels was my only miss. I thought the Red Sox would snap out of their season-end decline once they hit postseason, but the Angels seriously manhandled them on their way to the 3-0 sweep. Boston’s pitchers were [...]

2009 Postseason Predictions – Updated

Following are my 2009 postseason predictions (updated with notes of which team I’m rooting for). Take it for what it’s worth.

2009 Postseason Predictions

Following are my 2009 postseason predictions. Take it for what it’s worth.

October 2007: The End

First, congratulations to the Boston Redsox. You guys pwnd the Rockies, plain and simple.

October 2007: Colorado, Meet Boston (I Believe You’ve Met Before)

Dear God, if anything ever qualified as “an ass whooping,” tonight’s Game 1 is a hands-down contender.

October 2007: The Final Stretch

Hey, at least I predicted the final two teams correctly. Yeah, after being so wrong for so long … it’s the monkey/Shakespeare thing.

It Ain’t Over ‘Til …

If my numbers are right, there have only been 10 teams down 3-1 which have come back to take the series. And if memory serves, Josh Beckett lead one of those teams.

October 2007: Adjusted Predictions

Yeah, my first predictions were so awesome … Whatever. Here’s my picks for the final stretch.

October 2007: Update 3

Wow. Someone needed to tell the Yankees that this was it. They looked like crap.

October 2007: Update 2

Hey, how ’bout those Yankees? They actually looked like a baseball team last night. Well, most of them did. Jeter and Posada need to kick it into gear.

October 2007: Update 1

Colorado Rockies at Philadelphia Phillies I wrote: Colorado is a good team. But they’re not good enough to take the Phillies. The Rockies swept ‘em 3-0. It was like the Phillies weren’t even there.

Los Angeles Angels at Boston Red Sox I wrote: I expect Boston to take this series. And they did.

Chicago Cubs [...]

October 2007: And So It Begins

October is finally here and the MLB is down to eight teams. Here are the line-ups and my mostly worthless predictions.

Congratulations to the Rockies

It was an awesome game and who knows how many more innings the game would have lasted had the umpire not gotten bored and decided to call Holliday safe.
