For October, I’ve downloaded the following from eMusic:
- Toilet Boys
- Toilet Boys
- Living Like A Millionaire
- Notes: I don’t know much about these guys, but they have a good sound. That’s one of the great things about eMusic. It makes experimenting with unknown bands financially viable.
-
The Donnas
- American Teenage Rock-N-Roll Machine
- Get Skintight
- The Donnas Turn 21
- Bitchin’
- Notes: The only Donnas’ album I previously had (but can’t currently locate) was Spend The Night. While this album was decent, it wasn’t enough to impress me. However, I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about them lately and figured it’d be a good time to stock up on their back catalog.
- Various Artists
- St Valentines Day Massacre 2005
- Notes: My main interest in this album is Crucified Barbara. The fact that it’s a tribute to Motorhead is just icing on the cake.
I also received the following either as gifts or in the mail.
- Nightwish – Dark Passion Play. This will likely get untold hours of playtime over the next year.
- White Zombie – Supersexy Swingin’ Sounds. I love Rob Zombie and White Zombie. I’ve held off on getting this CD because I’m not a huge fan of remixes. However, American Music Made To Strip By made me a believer. I’m really looking forward to hearing this one, as soon as I can get it away from my wife.
- The Derailers – Under The Influence of Buck. I love The Derailers. I love Buck Owens. This one can’t lose.
Yeah, this is going to be good month.
